The programme was carried out this week in Ikastola Urretxu-Zumarraga and in Gainzuri Public School.

Aquarbe, the company that manages the municipal water service in Urretxu and Zumarraga, in collaboration with both Town Councils, has implemented the Aqualogía education programme this week in Ikastola Urretxu-Zumarraga and in Gainzuri Public School, both situated in Urretxu. In total, 207 schoolchildren from both centres participated.

Aqualogía is an education programme designed especially for primary school children, with which Aquarbe aims to contribute to raising children's awareness of the importance of water and the environment, educate them in knowledge of the natural and urban water cycles, and promote responsible consumption of this vital resource. Children's participation and interaction are enhanced by using new technologies. Through simple experiments and the use of various digital resources, schoolchildren learn in an enjoyable way about water uses, how water reaches our homes, what treatments it needs so we can drink it or return it to the natural environment, etc.
