Municipal waste collection service
 

The municipal waste collection service includes the daily removal of solid urban waste, packaging from businesses and bulky waste.

To do this work, Sermubeniel deploys two compactor trucks with a capacity of 12 m3 and a team consisting of a driver and two operators for handling the containers.

The solid urban waste collection service

From Sunday to Friday (extended to Saturdays in the summer), from 11 pm to 5 am.

Once collected, the waste is transported to landfills and authorised management companies for recovery and final processing.

Today, Beniel has 510 containers distributed throughout the municipal area.

In 2015 and 2016, a geolocation project was carried out to locate all the containers and fit them with a chip for their identification. This helps optimise collection routes, thereby minimising fuel costs and equipment maintenance.

When a dirty container is detected, it is withdrawn for cleaning and disinfection. This is generally done in the months of May and June.

Selective collection service

From Sunday to Friday (extended to Saturdays in the summer), from 6:00 to 8:30 am.

The town’s commercial districts are cleaned to keep the shopping areas as clean as possible.

Bulky waste collection service

Once a week with a lorry with a tail lift suitable for handling heavy loads.
